Sunflowers

2015417083151

For Be Careful With My Heart fans like me, sunflowers are the flowers Sir Chief gave Maya on their first date. Not a common ‘date’ flower, isn’t it? Who would have thought!

Seeing that ‘kilig’ episode made me remember how I loved this flower when I was a kid.

Recently, I finally managed to do what I have been wanting to do for a while, take a photo of sunflowers for my other blog, and the same time, buy sunflower plants.

I got two from Dangwa and it cost Php 150.00 each. I found myself in the area one morning and remembered that I wanted to buy sunflowers.

Then, another two at one of the stalls selling flowers and other ornamental plants inside the Quezon Memorial Circle. It cost me Php 75.00 each for the second two plants.

Happiness!

The same with me Fe, every time I see one, it reminds me of those episodes. Prior to watching BCWMH, I even bought a sunflower wallpaper that I used to layer a cabinet and now it reminds me of the show too! πŸ™‚

Ms A thank you for creating this blog. I Google and found this “Sunflowers turn to follow the sun. Their open faces symbolize the sun itself, conveying warmth and happiness, adoration and longevity.” This coming summer I’ll make sure sunflowers will be part of my garden.

Go for it! For sure it will liven up your garden. Me too, I’m planning to plant more sunflowers, aside from my other favorite, bougainvillea, in our place in the province! The four I bought are here in our house in the city. Thanks a lot for checking this blog too. πŸ™‚

You should, Elvie. Nakaka-happy. As far as I could remember, it is easy to take care of sunflowers. I remembered scattering sunflowers seeds when I was a kid and the flowers just grew all over the place. πŸ™‚
